In September 2007, the school moved to a new site above the village of Rhosllanerchrugog. It is a modern school suitable for the twenty first century. The school is named after the poet I.D. Hooson, who originates from the village and who was renowned throughout Wales as the friend of Welsh children.
Since moving into the new building the call for Welsh medium education in the area has increased. There are currently over 300 pupils at the school and our numbers are increasing. Even so, we are still a close knit community school.
We trust that the website will give you some information and also give you a taste of the school’s life.
