A software package to help Welsh language spellchecking and grammar checking has been released as a free download thanks to a partnership between Bangor University and the Welsh Government.

The children were asked to design a presentation to promote the importance of Welsh in the workplace. |
Year 5 and 6 pupils with tasty apple cakes.What can we do with these? That was the question which was asked to the children for our apple challenge. As there has been so many apples growing on the school campus, a challenge was set to all classes to produce something with the apples to raise money for a good cause. The products were sold in the school hall, raising £90 towards a good cause. The school Council are to meet to discuss how and to who the money is to be donated. |

Year 6 Visit CardiffYear 6 pupils visited Cardiff, staying for two nights in the Urdd Centre located in the Millenium Centre in Cardiff Bay. The pupils took part in a variety of activities. During the visit, the children visited the Big Pit in Blaenavon. There were one or two nervous faces as the children travelled under ground in the lift and saw what working conditions were experienced by the miners. During the visit to Cardiff, the children also visited the Welsh Assembly, The Royal Mint, Techniquest, they enjoyed a boat ride in Cardiff Bay, as well as having fun in the swimming pool. There was also a visit to the Cardiff City football stadium, who have recently secured promotion to the Premier league for next season. |
