Here are some of the reception class children enjoying Children nin Need activities, creating posters and masks, as well as cooking some tast biscuits.

Some year 1 and 2 children have been busy arranging a fund raising event for Children in Need as part of their responsibilities as members of the School Council.

Here are some activities the children have enjoyed as part of the STEM club for years 3 and 4.
The children have created Fireworks in a jar, spooky liquid and coding using microbit. Lots of fun !

A software package to help Welsh language spellchecking and grammar checking has been released as a free download thanks to a partnership between Bangor University and the Welsh Government.

The release aims to support Welsh-medium learners and their parents, home workers and small organisations during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic – and beyond.

Awards following an event on the importance of Welsh in the workplace. Mrs Lesley Lloyd from Careers Wales and Mr Carwyn Davies from the Local Authority visited year 5 and 6 pupils to present awards following an event on the importance of Welsh in the workplace. The children were asked to design a presentation to promote the importance of Welsh in the workplace.

Year 5 and 6 pupils with tasty apple cakes. What can we do with these? That was the question which was asked to the children for our apple challenge. As there has been so many apples growing on the school campus, a challenge was set to all classes to produce something with the apples to raise money for a good cause. The products were sold in the school hall, raising £90 towards a good cause. The school Council are to meet to discuss how and to who the money is to be donated.

The School’s TAG Rugby Team The school’s TAG rugby team competed in the Urdd competition reaching the final, ending up as runners up. Well done!

Year 6 Visit Cardiff Year 6 pupils visited Cardiff, staying for two nights in the Urdd Centre located in the Millenium Centre in Cardiff Bay. The pupils took part in a variety of activities. During the visit, the children visited the Big Pit in Blaenavon. There were one or two nervous faces as the children travelled under ground in the lift and saw what working conditions were experienced by the miners. During the visit to Cardiff, the children also visited the Welsh Assembly, The Royal Mint, Techniquest, they enjoyed a boat ride in Cardiff Bay, as well as having fun in the swimming pool. There was also a visit to the Cardiff City football stadium, who have recently secured promotion to the Premier league for next season.

Success of the School Football Team The school football team’s success continues. Here are the team members preparing for their game against Ysgol Rhosddu. The celebrated with another victory. We look forward to the next round in the William Aston Cup competition.

Bird Feeders Here are year 3 and 4 pupils preparing bird feeders.

Master Chef of the future! Much better than Masterchef! Year 1 and 2 pupils have been busy preparing Mexican food as part of their topic work. Careful with the chilli on these enchiladas.

A group of parents have been busy working on the outside area.

Years 5 & 6 have been visiting Plas Madoc Leisure Centre for weekly fitness activities.

A group of year 5 pupils enjoyed a recent visit the the Urdd camp in Llangrannog. A great time with a range of activities.
